| Short Description of the Institution: This library have 1 central library and around network of 20-thies small libraries as a dependences parts of the institution built in deferent areas of the city, with basic function to cover literature needs a of the children, students and adult citizens. There are several active foreign cultural centers existing as a joint program with embassies and City Library such as American corner, Children corner, Greek center, Italian center. Main focus of the work of the library is literature and publishing, but also digitalization of books and work of library. This library is part of COBIS network for sharing information and literature with other libraries from the Balkans... This library organizes literature evenings, and support children literature, scientific debates, seminars and workshops which promote science, history, linguistic, literature and arts. Also City Library has a mobile library a viacle, converted to a mini library. |
